First, a thank you and hello to all of the new visitors I’ve had this week. I’ve discovered that the secret to getting tons of traffic is to put “Matt Damon” and “SNL” in the headline.
Second, today is the 16th birthday of Professor Barnhardt’s Journal. It’s more of a blog now instead of the magazine-like format it used to have, with essays and interviews and fiction and theme issues. Here’s our very first issue, Why I Write, with essays from Roger Ebert, Lawrence Block, T.C. Boyle, John Scalzi, and others.
(And here’s more, from last year’s 15th anniversary post.)
